Terms and Conditions for Online Donations

Thank you for supporting Lovelink Charity Foundation Limited (“Lovelink”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) explain how donations are processed and how Lovelink handle your personal data. understood, and agreed to these Terms.
By making a donation, you confirm that you have read,
Lovelink is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO)(Cap. 486).
1. General Terms
1.1 All donations are voluntary contributions made at your discretion. There is no obligation to donate a specific amount, and you may contribute as much or as little as you wish.
1.2 Donations are non-refundable, except as stated in Section 6 (Refund Policy).
1.3 All donations will be used to support our charitable programs and initiatives, including the development of art, child & youth programs, tour & education, and community services, all in alignment with Lovelink’s vision and mission.
1.4 Lovelink is a registered non-profit organisation in Hong Kong. Donations may be tax-exemption under Hong Kong law. Please contact a tax advisor for guidance.
2. Donation Options
2.1 You can contribute through the following options:
– One-Time Donation: A single contribution for an amount of your choice.
– Recurring Donation: Regular contributions made on a monthly or annual basis.
2.2 By choosing a recurring donation, you authorise Lovelink or her third-party payment processor to automatically charge the selected amount at the chosen frequency.
2.3 Electronic Donation receipts will be sent to the email address you provide during the donation process.
3. Third-Party Payment Processors – “stripe”
3.1 We partner with trusted stripe to ensure safe and secure transactions. By donating, you agree to their terms and conditions in addition to ours.
3.2 Lovelink does not store or retain your financial or payment information. These details are securely managed by our payment processors in compliance with global and local data protection standards.
4. Personal Data Collection and Use
4.1 When you donate, stripe may collect personal data such as your name, email address, and billing information. This information is used solely to process your donation, issue receipts, and communicate with you about your contributions.
4.2 The stripe handle your personal data in compliance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO).
4.3 Your data will never be sold, rented, or disclosed to any unauthorised third parties. The stripe may share it only with trusted bank or payment institution(s) to complete your donation.
5. Your Responsibilities as a Donor
5.1 By making a donation, you confirm that:
– You are at least 18 years old, or you have obtained parental/guardian consent if you are under 18.
– The funds donated are your own and have not been obtained unlawfully.
– The information you provide (e.g., name, email, billing details) is accurate and up-to-date.
5.2 Please inform us promptly if there are any changes to your recurring donation, such as updated payment details or cancellation requests.
6. Refund Policy
6.1 Refunds may be issued via stripe in the following cases:
– The donation was made in error (e.g., duplicate transaction).
– The donation was unauthorised or fraudulent.
6.2 Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the transaction date. To request a refund, please email info@lovelinkcharity.com. Refunds are subject to our sole discretion.
7. Receipts and Tax-Deductibility
7.1 All donations of HKD 100 or above are eligible to receive an e-receipt for tax exemption purposes.
7.2 E-receipts will be sent to the email address provided during the donation process. These receipts do not include a signature.

7.4 Annual donation summaries for recurring donors are available upon request.
7.5 Tax-deductibility is subject to Hong Kong law. Please consult a tax advisor to confirm your eligibility.
8. Recurring Donations Management
8.1 Cancellation:
You may stop your recurring donation at any time by contacting us info@lovelinkcharity.com or through your donor account under stripe (if applicable). Please submit cancellation requests at least 14 days before the next scheduled payment.
8.2 Changes:
You may modify your recurring donation amount or frequency by notifying us at least 14 days in advance.
8.3 Annual Review:
All recurring donations (monthly or annual) will be reviewed at the end of March each year, which aligns with the Hong Kong taxation period. Donors will be informed of any updates or changes as needed.
9. Prohibited Activities – By donating, you agree not to:
9.1 Use our donation platform – stripe for any unlawful activities, fraudulent transactions, or money laundering.
9.2 Tamper with or attempt to disrupt the security of our website or payment systems.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lovelink, its directors, employees, and third-party service providers from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your donation, including unauthorised use of our platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Lovelink is not responsible for technical issues, interruptions, or errors that occur during the donation process, including those caused by third-party payment processors – stripe.
11.2 Lovelink’s liability is limited to the amount of your donation unless otherwise required by Hong Kong law.
12. Changes to These Terms
Lovelink reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be announced on Lovelink’s website, and your continued use of our donation platform – stripe indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
